Brad Hogg Points Out The Issue Of Rishabh Pant

Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg recently talked about the issue of the Indian young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and also brought up a solution for the youngster.
At a very early age, Rishabh Pant made his international debut in February 2017 through the T20I cricket. However, he made Test and ODI debuts in the second half of 2018. At the beginning of the international career, the youngster impressed with his performances both as a wicketkeeper and batsman.

In the last year, Pant got bigger roles in the national team. While due to the injury of Wriddhiman Saha, Pant was handling the Test wicketkeeping, he was also handling the limited-overs wicketkeeping regularly after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 due to the absence of MS Dhoni.
However, the youngster has failed to handle these pressures as he was inconsistent on the field which was hurting him and his team. Though the youngster was getting fair starts with the bat, he was throwing up his wickets consistently at the crucial time due to his poor shot selections. Most of the times, his wickets were hurting the Indian team.

Due to his consistent weak performances, Pant has lost his spot from the playing XI in every format in the international cricket.

However, Brad Hogg is a fan of the 22-year-old Rishabh Pant as he always wants to watch his entertaining batting. Talking about his issue, Hogg feels that Pant has failed to utilise his huge talents properly. Hogg believes that a mind coach can play an effective role in his improvement.
While a fan asked Hogg on Twitter about his opinion on Pant, the former Aussie replied, “Definitely, I turn on my television when @RishabhPant17 comes to the crease, the entertainer. His issue is he has got to much talent to know what to do with. He could do with a mind coach, a lot of great sportsmen use them. It is all in the mind for him. #Hoggytime”
