Shahid Kapoor is currently working on the jersey movie which is based on a cricket story and is a remake of Telugu film which was released in 2019.
The story is about a thirty-six years old cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for the Indian team.
Shahid was injured during practicing a shot and got stitches on his mouth. The movie is scheduled to release this year but the outbreak of coronavirus might force the release date to next year.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is under sabbatical. He has not played a competitive match since he last featured with the Indian team in the disheartening semi-final against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019.
Dhoni was going to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) which was scheduled to start from 29th March but now it has been shifted to start from 15th April.
The pandemic has halted every sports event.
The impact of coronavirus has been such that the Tokyo Olympics – scheduled to start in July this year – have been postponed till the summer of 2021. Considering the extent of damage that COVID-19 has inflicted on the sporting calendar and the FTP schedule.
And, it’s fair to say that the chances of IPL taking place this year are negligible.
